Hey all! Purchased a number of these recently and certainly know my Roman & "Barbarian" painting schemes from books I own & such, but is there anywhere that I could find color guides for these figures?

All of my other figures (Andrea, Elite, Verlinden etc.) always at least come with color photos on the box or instructions inside.

Thanks in Advance!

Hi there blf

I would suggest also contacting Altores ,see what references they used

Perhaps one of the figures is a piece a review has been done by me ..I put references on the review

Look forward to seeing how you get on

Happy researching and benchtime

Thabks Nap - I'll look thru your reviews! I actually ordered a 2 year subscription to AW last night so, great to hear it's a good reference point. I always enjoy the research piece immensely (History major when I was at University)

I did contact Altores a while ago with a random question on gettin a replacement foeva broken part, but never heard back. Anyone ever get in contact with them?

Thanks again - it's great being on this forum as a Yank/light sleeper as I get responses in the middle of the night!!!!

Welcome blf.

If you bought the figure from a dealer, try contacting them. They might be able to help. That route worked for me on one occasion.

It could be so simple and... commercial...
Add a single sheet in the box with colours instructions , or cheaper, for all new figures a data sheet in PDF form on the producer/maker of the set
In French we say " on n'attrape pas des mouches avec du vinaigre " ... you don't catch fly with vinegar

Please again dear makers, minimum infos on your webb : size, material, colour instruction, base included or not, number of parts, any valuable info
For info if size and material are not evident at first sight, I don't look further

Exactly this ….. would be fairly easy to do. Again, I have a general idea but love when at least the box has a painted miniature on it

To be honest, with how some people go off about colour "accuracy" it doesn't surprise me that they don't supply that information.

Out of all the miniatures I've picked up over the past couple of years I can only think of one which had any information about possible colours and that was a Roman from Pegaso. But a quick Google search will likely give you more information than they will supply.

For all the miniatures I bought in the 70ies 80ies 90ies, there was always colours instructions joined in the blister/box/pack ... even for the loose one soldered and with primer, there was instruction sheets in the drawers of the seller' shop
After all when they produce a figurines, I guess they have made some resarch or/and have a source of inspiration . Or must we classified all production without ref sheet as fantasy ?
I know; sometimes they make it easy for them like producing crusaders clothed almost all as templar, I painted lot of crusaders in my young time ( almost 50yers ago...!!! ) for friends who gave me instrucions about coat of arms of participant to the crusades they wished to be represented .
Those producing templars, I call them " the Lazy Kings "
