An idea I have for finishing a statue of mine. Anyone got any idea's? I have read up on a little, using bronze acrylic and highlights and shadows with white or black acrylic. I was hoping someone had some idea's on using oils with acrylic bronze colored base, in other words starting with an antiqued finish on the statue. Adding oils for highlights and shadows. Any help would be apprecated, need to finish for Christmas present.

My Drum Major was designed as a kit, due to undercuts I need to make 1 piece for bronze polyester casting.
My mates want one ASAP so I have used Halfords Grey Primer, halfords Ford Bronze and Oils Burnt Umber.
Brush the oils on thick, wait 30 mins and rag or lightly brush off.
looks the same and give away is weight.
A few lead shot in legs or base helps

You can try the spray can from Humbrol. Except cold, and some other metallics they released a new range for special metallic appearance that can be used for model car painting. Give them a try.

Cheers Carl, that's great mate and really appreciated
