This figure whas a gift from Alan Ball. It whas one of the first figures that I saw and wanted to paint immediately. It whas very hard to find one, but Alan whas so kind to give me one.
I really hope I did justice with my painting.
I'm pretty sure my pictures don't do justice. As always painted with oils and printers inkt.

Great figure Marc, well done. Love the light purple of the tunic and the metals look good.
I'm curious about the background of the subject... For the life of me, I can't place the country or era of this one.
Please enlighten me

Colin I can't help you. Alan got his inspiration from a picture Karsten Abel send him. I really don't know what picture. It looks a Middle Aged figure that could stand at the palace in Akko.

Very nice marc,you must have been well pleased to recieve a figure from alan ball,i like the metal finishes and the detail on the sash,but the thing that struck me was the painting of the purple,it looks lovely,congratulations,i bet alan ball would be pleased with it as well (y)
