The brothers hildebrandt.
I can't fault any choices made so far ,they are the inspiration for my projects
To make a contribution to the thread is going to have to therefore take a new direction.
Before Peter Jackson's Lord of the rings and the Hobbit there was the inspirational art of the Identical twins
The Brothers Hildebrandt. Still available on Amazon.
They could start at opposite sides of a panel and work into the middle and experts could not say who had painted which bita

Being so different.
In truth the first post you made of the Spanish cuirassier was a familiar image
but not so the artist
Having now looked comprehensively at his portfolio - am inspired to recreate the
attached image.
Hopefully other members will find a similar incentive amongst the quality listed
Well done.
Next time you do similar please let me know to get some overtime in this last idea just
cost me 50 sovs ordering 2 kits to hybridise into one hee hee.

You will know from looking at these books with me a while ago how often I look at them
Terpning puts the indian comfortably into His environment.
McCarthy shows western subjects ito the huge scale of the Big sky and Big landscape.
I could've put up images galore for eachm these are not even my faovourites !

I like McCarthy's work a lot.

Majestic innit though
And then you find you can't put the scale of his art into your model.
For example, this is a 100mm Cube if you put 15mm figures on it, that's mccarthy's scale, but if you put 2 8 western crow indian scouts on it it's a bit more 'Terpning' and intimate.
