Not a big fan of Rigo's artistic style which is juvenile and simplistic. But for content on the uniforms of First Empire personalities, you can't beat them. Like Rousselot, he was an official painter to the French army.

Alan Lee, Tolkien Illustrator and one of the inspirations for Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films.

His illustrations brought Tolkien to life for me.
