Another great illustrator well worth a mention here, and easily found on google is French artist Maurice Leloir.

Leloir is a wonderful choice lads.

So charming and such a great reference for the scenic builds for

figure modellers and painters of flats as well.

Lol, I've just discovered I have a flat in my collection which is clearly based on a Leloir illustration, top right.

Inspiration for painting metal/armour and black clothing. Look at the light, shade and reflections on the pewter plate.... brilliant!
