Great likeness!
You might want to consider representing the helmet liner as in this pic. You could actually add a layer over top of the helmet as you have it now, its about the size of the helmet liner. Stars on the epaulets as well

Antonio, I have to agree with JasonB. The helmet as is now modeled closely resembles the Hawley liner that Patton wore. This liner was heavily lacquered thus imparting the very smooth, high gloss finish to it. Notice also that the suspension rivets are visible.

In the photo that JasonB also provided, Georgie is clearly wearing an M1 steel helmet with liner. The matt textured finish a result of cork granuales sprayed on with olive drab paint. Also note the overall size is greater because of the steel shell.

The M1 helmet's shape and proportion is difficult to model, but I'm confident you can capture it!

Antonio, you are on it (y)! You even posted a couple of shots of Georgie I had not seen before :wideyed:!

I'm excited for this new effort of yours so, you might as well remember to set one aside for me when ready ;)!

Also note that the M1 steel pot is not circular around the bottom, its sort of a rounded off square due to the angles and flare of the brim. The steel pot appears to be rather a simple helmet until you try to get the shape right, then its a multitude of angles. Plus, too many guys sculpt it as form fitting like the liner. The shell had to be large enough to fit over the head and a hard liner, so its rather large and bulbous. Since there was only one shell size (the liner did the sizing to the wearer) you can see some pretty large looking helmets on small heads.

Hello Antonio, Beautiful work on the face of Patton, the best I have seen. I also like the helmet, and the leather jacket looks great. Excellent sculpting Antonio, this will be fun to paint. The portrait of Patton, is done by Michael Bennett. Regards, SG:)(y)(y)
