why making this figure in limited edition !!!

it's one of the most exciting i see this year

hope Pegaso understand it's just stupid to private all figure fan of this beauty

Dom

I have to agree with Dom. I really dont appreciate Pegaso's decision to make this a very small, limited release. It is, to me anyway, the best thing I've seen from Pegaso in a while. The fact that I'll probably never get the chance to put the brushes to it kind of ticks me off! Why not make it available to everyone? No doubt it would sell well.

Hi Guys,

I can't get a very big image and wondered how much that price says?

Regards Callum.

No doubt that is a beutiful piece of art. Excellent subject and perfect sculpting.
The idea of casting it in only 125 pieces is unbelievably unfair. Escpecially to every collector or painter from oversea. We do not have a chance to get any of it.

I have been supporting Pegaso for a while, spent a lot of money buying figures from them. To me personally that is a slap in the face saying we do not care much about you, we have enough intrest in Greece, Italy and Spain. It is very, very disappointing for all of us over here.

Agree.

Seems like the intent of this limited release is to make attending Euro more attractive to modelers. I think that it will clearly do that. Without inside information, perhaps it's a bit quick to knock Pegaso for making this a limited edition piece. Perhaps they were asked to do this by the Euro folks and have been good enough to make the effort? I don't know either way, but whose to say?

Just playing devil's advocate...

well actually,as far as I am informed, this was an idea from the organizers of Euro-Militaire and Pegaso have agreed to this idea. The thought is to make the show interesting to the visitors and to promote the 25 years idea.
The figure may seem expensive at 160,00 Euros but you have to take into account the costs that Pegaso have for the sculpting and casting of this beauty. As they are only allowed to sell 100 peices I am sure that they will make no profit but are just doing this as a favour to Euro-Militaire.

Regards
Pete

@ Pete

No profit??? 100 pieces and 160,00 Euro makes 16 000,00 Euro. I don´t think that they had paid that for sculpting and casting and making the figures.

for example: the viking on a horse from Frank Miniatures is offered for 75,00 Euro. Ok it is resin, but I think there are not that differences in price between resin and metal.

And if you are right, Pete, Frank had to sell over 200 figures to make profit????

But to sell 100 pieces from one figure will not so easy I think. So in my opinion the "overseas" will have a chance to buy this figure too

Hi planetfigures,
A fantastic piece that would really really like to put it in my collection, I'm the lucky ones.

I agree with keith the fact it is in such limited numbers is going to make it very attractive and profitable for recasters, it only takes one of these figures to get into the wrong hands and then it will be recasts of recasts.
