I need to know what type of road bed Pegasus Bridge had to finish my figure of Major Howard. From period photos, it looks like asphalt.

Hi Matthew,
Here is a picture of the originl Pegasus Bridge. It's no longer in use, being preserved in the grounds of the nearby Airborne Museum , after it was replaced some years ago.

In my opinion, the road bed is more likely to be steel or iron (metallic anyway) than asphalt.

I knew the bridge had been moved, and in fact I have this photo on my PC, but wasn't sure if what looks to be metal plates of some sort were period. Now I just have to figure the best way to scratch build something like that for a single 1/35th figure. Thanks for the information.
