I am trying to learn the photography of the miniatures and I ask you if someone can explain the artifact that appears in some images as highlighted in red circle in the image below.
The light and dark lines are not present on the miniature.
What is the reason?

Thanks for any tips.

On first glance, it doesn't look like an artifact. It reminds me of the bands visible on 3d printed objects. There are similar lines behind the ear, but at a different angle (but those behind the ear look like brush marks). Does the artifact appear when repeat photos of the same figure are taken?

It could be a compression artifact. If you have the raw image file (.nef or .nrw for Nikon cameras), view it directly or convert it to an image format that uses lossless compression, like png. Then check the image to see if the artifact is still there.

Thank you guys.
I am a ****y ....
I solved the problem.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D3200 with a Tamron 70-300 mm lens used at 180 mm macro, original picture in RAW format.

But the problem there are the lenses.
I went to review the pictures taken during the wip with a Nikon lens 55 mm and the artifact is not present.
