Richie,

This is looking fantastic. You've really achieved the claustrophobic feel that must have been present. As someone else said, this would represent about 20 years of painting effort for me so more power to you. I assume Isandlwana will be next. Only 20,000 Zulus :) . You could rival the old Norman Abbey diorama he made in the 70s with Hinchliffe figures. If memory serves there were only 200 figures on that one:).

Hi Chris,
Only if it's an English Terrier to go with the English regiment of the 2nd Warwickshires 24th Regiment of Foot.:D 'Tis a English Terrier, man! Though there are some foreign Terriers from Wales in it , mind. I am Jones from......:ROFLMAO:

Chris, Roger & Steve,

Hi Pete,
If I ever stop getting additional jobs and get this finished, I might just do Pope's last stand at Isandlwana???? He was the Lieutenant who owned the dog.
cheers
Richie

Hi All,
Since idol hands have stirred the chimp, I thought I would give a quick update. I now have all the Zulu's to the undercoat stage, some need a few slight bits tinkering. I also have the Natal Mounted Police finished and undercoated (and know I'm not doing his horse you three, you know who you are).
I have also altered the wall thickness and have changed the look, thanks to Mark S(y), I think it has added another dimension and breaks up the wall and no Mark I am not going to poke a Martini Henry through the shutter:p.
The shutter was made from balsa, cut down nails, lead foil and dress makers pins.
cheers
Richie(y)

I bet the Giraffe could look out the window maybe with the dog on it's head! Seriously a rifle barrel out of the shutters/loophole would look damn good Richie, not that it doesn't look amazing already mate (y)
Steve

Fantastic Richie!!!
The shutters look very organic... not like a dollhouse... very realistic.

Your grouping of such a big number of figs on such a small area is excellent.

Gonna start slapping on some colours soon?

Colin

Impressive, large dio but nice and tight, makes you claustrophobic just looking at it.Looking forward to watching it progress.

Cheers
