I'm still plodding away at this, lots to do but getting there slowly. Gothicgeek did me the transfers for the chevrons(thanks Mark). I decided to add a couple of medal ribbons for interest.

This looks realy good and the insignia adds a lot of interest to this WW1 figure.
Just one thing though, the medal ribbons look splendid but I think they are in the wrong order. The Queens South Africa should precede the Kings S.A ribbon.
I apologise for being pedantic.

Well spotted, I'll re-do them. Thanks for the comments.

Lovely work Carl, I've been waiting to see the next installment on this bust and you haven't disappointed me. The tartan on the bag looks very nice. Those chevrons look really good -I'm curious about the transfers???

Excellent progress Carl.
The tone of the uniform is very wonderful.
I'm also looking forward to remaining progress.

Terrific work Carl, especially like the edge ware on the shoulder strips.

hello
the chevrons are the hit an clever idea to make decals.looks very neat.an toast to the technicans amongst painters, this is truely an stunning effect.
its surely an challange to paint as to built.
did hold onetime an bagpipe it sounded like an act rolled over by an car.but more difficult where the pipes which must rest against schoulder.holding alone is an art even more if you go ashore with bullets whizzin by.
by the way an lovely avatar(y)
