Acording to the 1970 movie here's an idea to convert this bust into a full mounted figure...:ROFLMAO:

Just kidding, the fact is that I've just seen the movie (again) and noticed that the Scots Greys charge was leaded by Ponsonby on a kiddie ride.:ROFLMAO:
If I have counted correctly,Christopher Plummer is the only main character who rides a real horse on close-up shots.

Cheers

(End of the note from an OCD cinephile:wacky: , now please back to the thread:)

Hi, Carl & Graham!

Any idea about when this Little big piece of Art will be available?
Hope you'd really consider a "legged & mounted" Grey someday!
Thank you again,

Iñaki

Hey Gerrard,i watched an interview with christopher plummer many years ago on TV,it may have been with Terry Wogan, and supprisingly Christopher Plummer had a fear of horses, and if you look carefully in the film you can see he rides quite a small horse.

Thank you!
Not good news... a bit anxious to get this amazing bust!
Too many good releases lately, anyway.

Hi Inaki,
I am very sorry for my delay, I was away at a show this weekend.
Many thanks for your interest and kind words, as Carl mentioned I will have him out before Christmas and will keep you posted.
My very best wishes and thanks
Graham

Thank you, Graham!
Despite I've been painting/sculpting for more than twenty years, I'm new at this site and still suprised for getting replies from you, Carl and Moz. Thank you, guys for being so close and kind.
Keep doing so well!

Dear All,

I have just received this bust.
My feedback:
- Casting: the best resin figure I have ever seen in terms of moulding and fine details.
I wish you'd have it in your hand and could take a look to the face, bearskin, the brass plate, cords.. and how the large amount of parts perfectly fit. Great job!!!
- Figure: I own hundreds of figures and I always considered the busts as a "second league" compared to mounted or "legged figures". This one has changed my mind.
Among my collection, my favourites have always been Poste Militaire, Grieves and Le Cimier, Roll Call... and I could mention several well known sculptors.
My feeling is that this bust is the greatest figure I own. The movement, details, perfect "anatomy" (shoulders, back, arms... they fit in a way that looks like an alive and moving - charging - guy).
I strongly recommend this figure and I regret my English is not good enough to explain fairly how good it is.
Thank you, Carl and Graham.
If the rest of new busts released are as good as this one, you are doing something expectional.
Go for it, guys.

Happy New Year!!!

Iñaki

Hi Inaki!

All I can say is a huge thank you for glowing words of praise my friend.
I'm so pleased you like him, and indeed exceeds your expectations.
I hope enjoy him buddy!

Happy New Year!

Carl

Hi Inaki and Dave,

I am so glad you are pleased with the piece and thank you for your very kind words.

I really believe that as a manufacturer the customer deserves the best quality casting, after all the hard work Carl does it is the least I can do, I am not into budget production as to me it to me it sells both the piece and the customer short.
A very happy new year and best wishes
Gra

Thank you both Carl and Graham... but more than "exchanging thanks" I do feel I am doing something good for other painters if I encourage them to get this bust.
I will try to upload soon some self-explanatory pictures in the Open Box "space" (better than my poor explanations).
Keep doing so well, guys!

Iñaki
