Curious about the state of 3D printing for mastering molds... do you have to do much clean-up before you can make molds off of a printing? I have a friend who owns a resin company for aircraft aftermarket parts (Barracuda Studios), and he does a lot of his masters this way. The designers he contracts with will do the CAD and generate masters on some pretty high-end printers, but he still has to do some work on them before putting them into rubber.

I have often wondered that, some commercially available 3d printed figures have scan lines in them which need cleaning up when yo get them.
