I was reading a description of an American Regiment from the War of Independence which was described as red coat without lapels and green brandenbergs. What are Brandenbergs?

Stephen, In place of lapels/ facings some units had "Brandenburgs" which are really little more than configurations of regimental tape or cloth strips bordered by tape. There was a German unit that had brandenburgs in horizontal figure "8s". Follow the link to the illustration of the Irish figure I completed a while back. I hope this expains it well enough.~Gary

gary, is that figure availible comercially?
Steve, Though the figure was originally a one off, the figure painted by Joe is actually a resin copy, if I'm not mistaken. Given that a mold(s) were made I thought that was the intention. Sorry to say that it will in all liklihood NOT be made available. I may do another in the future, but with me lagging behind on other projects I just can't say when.~Gary
