Question re buttons on French infantry coat 1871

Hey all

I'm working on Andreaseae's French infantryman from the Franco-Prussian War. Rereaching the subject, it is unclear to me whether the buttons are white or yellow... pewter or brass.

If anyone more versed in this area could shed some light on this subject, I'd be much obliged

I believe yellow metal..

brass......At least I painted them that way from the reference I had then. Unfortunally I lost them all. They are gone with the old PC>
