Just curious, but how compatible are Michael Roberts's 54mm headsets with listed 35mm figures, for example Master Box sets? If they make the figures look pumpkin-headed, are there any Civil War era head sets that will fit? Thanks for any feedback.

Standard 54mm heads should normally be too large to use on Master Box figures, it does depend a bit on how each of them are scaled but generally you'd be talking about 1/32 mixed with 1/35 and they're not close enough to mix and match parts unfortunately.

Thanks for feedback--I thought so, but knew that in some mfr.'s cases that there was some discrepancy in listing scale on figures.

Hornet do a range of bare 1/35th heads that should fit the Masterbox figures; you'll just need to add the headgear and hair.

It is a bit of a shame that Masterbox chose 1/35 for their Civil War range as there isn't much else available from that era in that scale; 1/32 would have been muchbetter. Having said that they are quite nice kits especially as you get 3 mounted figures for £12! The Pennsylvania Cavalry are a little short on equipment though, sadly only one holstered revolver and cap box between the 3 of them!
