Ok Ralph, how did you do it?

I followed Mark's work around some time ago in order to be able to 'quote', but of course lost the option of including smilies.

Were you able to 'quote', type your message and add the smilies without undoing anything first?

Joe
Hi Joe
On the post you want to quote right click the mouse button on the blue quote in bottom right. Then open in new window. You will get a reply to thread page with what the person wrote that you quoted.
Then write your reply including smilies:) .when you have clicked reply to thread just close the original window from which you used

Ralph,

When I right click the blue 'Quote', the following box appears with: Copy Link, Open link in new tab, Open link in new window, and open link. Left clicking on the blue 'Quote' gets me the reply to thread page.

A few months ago when I got this computer, I was unable to quote but there was the ability to use the smilies. Carl and Mark guided me on the steps to put into use the 'Quote' option. As a result of doing this the smilies disappeared. Since I see that others quote and use smilies, I thought that perhaps there was a change in the system programing that would allow me to use both as well. Apparently this isn't the case. Thanks for tying to help though.

Joe, I am getting some movement .. let me figure out what I have just done! :D

Ok, I right clicked on the blue Quote and don't get an 'Open' option, only the:

Open link in new tab
Open link in new window
Open link

I tried right clicking on those options, but no smilies option appears.
