Hi Guys

I had one of those days today, the ones where you want to paint but dont want to paint anything you have already started, so after a little confusion, I aked my very understanding partner which one out of my grey army I should start today, and she picked this one. It was already primered but not started, so what you see here is all work done today in acrylics, there are still a few bits to do as well as the blanket, as ever all comments are welcome...

Beautiful work Dave...........your partner has excellent taste and the ability to make a sound decision  Of course comming from me...........any Indian would be the right choice. It still amazes me to see how quickly a figure can be painted when using acrylics. With my technique....about a week to get this far. Keep us posted on your progress.

Charlie's coming along very well for a single days work Dave...
If he's not too difficult to bring..maybe we could get a look at him at the club this wednesday..

Nice work so far mate... (y)

Roy.

Thanks guys for you comments... :)

Guy, I thought you mit like this one, the painting only took this long because I spent about a month gathering info on material colours and other stuff, so i was pretty much sorted for how he was going to be painted.

Roy, no worries he will be there on wednesday, you can take a closer look... :)

Hi Dave,

Like the rest I like the skintone very much. It really captures the look of a sunburned, dried and wrinkled oldy. Our future doesn't look all that good  . I also like his ears which are very lifelike; Great painting!

Johan ;)

Beautiful work Dave as always. I've heard of this one described as probably one of the best castings of all time, and you've certainly done it justice mate!

Great work Dave.
I love it. You are doing a wonderful job on this classic.
It is one of my all time favorites too.
