Way too expensive for a poor kid like me as a child
I was well into the Airfix polythene soldiers, the crawling commando with the dagger being my favourite
I always wanted the bamboo house to go with my Japs and Aussies but never got one :(

Loved Airfix figures - but for ultimate childhood fun - Swoppet Knights and Timpo cowboys running around a cardboard castle :woot:

Hi Rich,
Airfix figures, Britains and Swoppets for me too, I wish I had them all now, have you seen the price some of those swoppets go for:eek:
I know - the fortune we gave away!

Just to push this thread on a little, who had an Action Man?

Memories of his life and demise would be interesting for folks of a certain age in this forum (mine suffered from joints that rusted in the bath - the frogman kit was just way too cool to not try it out under water :woot:)

If I had all of the Action Men I had as a kid, I could buy a new house if I sold em!
I had a massive box of the kits and uniforms and the armoured car and spacecapsule
My older sister used to biro their faces:mad:

Pete goes on about the bamboo house - I never got the ultimate boy toy of the age Johnny Seven O.M.A. (I would have traded all of my toy box just to get one - it never happened) :(

Had one and took it to school for show and tell .....try that today. My son was looking for one for me for last Christmas but couldn't find one cheaper than a small car (thank God). There are $ limits to my love of nostalgia.

Re. the airfix box, most of mine were blown to smithereens with now banned fire crackers in my Dad's garden. Didn't do his tatties a lot of good either!
