WIP Restoration

I painted this chap many years ago, and it still stands up well when compared to todays castings, does anyone know what happened to the originals after Mike passed away?
Lovely job on the trousers Ron, are they oils or acrylics?

All in oils ; there is no other way for me

Bought one of These beauties 2 Years ago at Euro on the top gallery,sold it to a PF member who was not too happy with the Casting,bought another at last Years Euro from t ue Bonepartes stand,still not impressed with the Casting,how was yours Ron??

This is an original Pete ,bought on the first week of production many moons ago ; casting was superb even then .

The face was never great on it but very close to portraits of him, don't think I have ever seen better braiding on a hussar uniform apart from Post Militaire

Oh Im sure mine is original,it was just some guy selling off a collection including Barton,Almond Ceremonial,Tiny Troopers etc on the Bonepartes stand.Dont really think anyone pirates these old figures anyway.

Ron,I'm so glad you did find him,this is a great figure and youv'e done a beautiful restoration on him,hopefully he will take pride of place in your cabinet now
