What a surprise another Roman:whistle: -there must be enough 75mm Romans around now to complete a Legion....thank goodness their other new offering is at least something original. I'm not against Roman subjects and have bought almost every offering various manufacturers have produced so far in 75mm but they are now starting to go round in repetitive circles............but they know their market and I suppose this will do well.

Here we go. Another Roman and I am all over it. Perfect scale and great pose with face expression. Something new to mostly static Romans on the market. Romeo Models is definitely my top manufacturer in recent months. Keep it coming!

May have found my first Roman to paint! Ordinarily, if there's not a musket and a felt hat involved, I'm not much interested (not sure why, really...), but this looks VERY nice. And it's in the 75mm size that I'm liking more and more these days. Stretching to paint this much skin, and armor, and a shield design - out of the "comfort zone", but I must say I'm interested. Like it a lot! Also, would LOVE to see what Jim Johnston would do with this figure . . .

Another Roma indeed. But the first 75 mm representation of an Optio given the nature of the helmet crest.

If this figure would find its way to my grey army, I would change the spear for the stick typical for the Optio's rank as shown on the added picture. I think it would be good for the figure's overall balance too.

More info on the rank of the Optio you can find HERE and HERE.
