HI Roberto mate, definately no white/red this time. Thinking yellow, going to keep the colours earthy as usual. Hardy

Hi Hardy

Very impressed with the flesh tones, will you have this one finished for Ireland..... :)

Dave

Hi Dave mate, yep will be done for Ireland. Its alot simpler than the last one I did. Really love this scale, you can just go that extra mile.

Thanks guys.

HI Marc, here is the flesh mix for you.

Face and Flesh Mix
Undercoat (Acrylic) Yellow Ochre + Yellow
Basecoat (Oils) Equal amounts of Venetian Red + Cadmium Yellow + Ochre
First Highlight (Oils) Basecoat + Naples Yellow + Titanium White
First Shadow (Oils) Venetian Red
Second Highlight (Oils) First highlight + Titanium White
Final Highlight (Oils) Titanium White (use very sparingly)
Second Shadow (Oils) Venetian Red + Lamp Black
Deepest Shadow (Oils) Lamp Black

Hardy,

The face is simply amazing, as usual. All the highlights/shadows applied wet on wet or the second and final highlights/shadows applied wet on dry?

I'm with JP, is there a mould line on the chest and the cape?

Best wishes

Béla

Like always very expressive and contrasted .... Wonderful I love your paint ... o)

Daniel

Thanks all.
I knew about the mold line but thanks anyway for pointing it out. I always find that despite loads of prep work, the primer always shows up faults.

Hardy,

I know what you're talking about :)

Hours of preparations, and then the primer shows the mistaken parts

Just updated my site with some inpro shots of the prefectus. Going for a blue and yellow livery on this one, thought I had better prove I could still paint other colours after all that white!!!!

Hello Hardy!

fantastic face! The eyes look very alive, and I like the beardshadow which really give him an "on campain" look.

Looking forward to seeing him finished!

Marijn
