Just began the destruction on the shield. It looks tatty at the moment but I will neaten up when everything is dry. Also this is greatly magnified and does'nt look as raw in the flesh. Still needs lots of 'muck' to tie it in with the rest of the figure. So lots of washes to come....

Started the weathering process, starting to get what I want. Going to add some Roman numerals on the top of the shield soon.

What references do you have for the shield? I've never seen a roman shield with this design before.

Thanks Paul. I went for a personnal design on this one, i will add numerals or the SPQR soon to give it some kind of Roman tie in.
