Ralph, all credit to you, old son.....My own one of this lamentable figure still resides in a drawer after similar experiences. The damn thing did NOT want to stick, and stay stuck, despite metal pins ; as with you, the standard self- destructed spectacularly.. , the resin being quite brittle. I have a plan, though, inspired by your efforts and success.
Courage, mon brave.....
Cheers,
Alan

Cheers Alan:).
I know what you mean about the resin not staying stuck together(even though I washed everything as per usual).
I ended up using many pins to hold the parts together.
When I dropped it the staff just seemed to shatter after the repairs it ended up about 30/40mm shorter:eek:.
All the best.
Ralph.

Even after all the problems you still produced a very nice figure...well done.....I don't think I'd have had the patience....John.

Very nice painting and presentation Ralph.
Excellent recovery following the disaster. I'd never have noticed if you hadn't said.
That's got to be the sign of a dedicated modeller.

Cheers,
Andrew

I have a fweling we haven'r seen the last of this one Ralph.
It will annoy you that it's not how you want it to be.
maybe re-assemblig everything onto a kebab skewer would give you the overall effect you hope for.
Either way good save mate !

Paul.

A skewer sounds a good idea but I think it would have been more work than I wanted to do.
I tend never to go back to a figure once it is completed I just get on with the next one(y).
