Hi mate

Nice to see a roman, were you effected after seeing teh group at our EXpo : )

Painting great as always and a big improvement in the photos but though I hate to critisize I have to pull your leg on one thing mate [apart that he is dressed in red!]... Imperial Romans used to plug all their body hair! They liked their legs smooth : )

But will forgive you on this little 'mistake' as on the other hand you manged to portray the body hair very natural!
Nonteless he might have been an auxiliary eh ; )

Awaiting to see him alive next Wed!

Ave

Ivan

Hi Ivan thanks. Actually I knew about the hair but just didn't portray him doing that on campaign. It just seemed strange to me.

I agree mate and has always sounded strange to me, but seems that if you plug from the roots regurarly, normally hair shall grow less and less, that was said to me when I discussed this with a beautician.

On the other hand legionaires came from all parts of the Roman world so i do not think that every roman citizen practised hair romaval ... if I were still under them i would rather not like this unpleasant practise!

On the other hand you might elaborate the way you managed to paint, looks like very fine brush control ... PROSIT!

Ivan

Having just regained conciousness, (it's the thought plucking leg hairs, particularly the little ones behind the knees)
Anyway what a fantastic job, an inspiration.
Regards
Derek
