If they really wanted to F --k our day up, then they would have us parade every hr, on the hr in a different rig, usually the Adjutant would inspect us, and he would then say what the dress was for the next hr. At least you got a ride every now and again, we had to march everywhere . Happy Days.

Yes I know the feeling, we had all the usually issue kit with some kit like No2 dress x2 as well as No1 dress and full kit both mounted and dismounted. I'd do it again though.:)

Our worst parade was just before "the silly season" with everything scrubbed down to bare leather. As soon as you were inspected in one order of dress you pealed off to change order and joined on at the back! Then everything had to back to guard standard for the following day.

Ha ha ha Steve, bloody brilliant, where did you find that? We take it that those that can't measure up to us, will always resort to trying to insult us, and that is a sign of respect, as it demonstrates an inferior complex Do you Para boys ever find that or does nobody bother?

At the time I was glad to see it all go back into stores (after swapping all the best bits with mates) Now I'd do it again.:)

I know Martin, you leave and for the next 30 yrs or so you want nothing more to do with it. Then you meet up with an old Oppo you start reminiscing about old times and faces, and before you know it you're hooked again.Well I suppose it wasn't too bad after all you think to yourself, and you go from there. But this time round youve become a silly old proud cantankerous Bastard.

I luv that film Gra30 , I think that it should be compulsory viewing for all Parras, so that they can have something that they can TRY and aspire to. Thank you for posting.
