Thanks for the kind words Rocky. I painted all the Poste Militaire Samurai's years ago and I have to say the Pegaso are much more workable as far as doing the painting in components. After finishing these 2 Samurai I may have to look into doing one or two for myself.

Stunning paintwork of this fellow Guy with a lot of attention to al these small details. Now that all parts are assembled it's an fine and excellent piece of work.

Marcel.

Thanks for the feedback Marcel. Much appreciated. The detail work was quite enjoyable to do as it was all crisp and clear.

Thanks John,

It feels good to have 2/3's of the scene done with the base, groundwork and Tori Gate left to go.

Before posting the finished photos of the vignette I thought I would finish out the sbs and show the final stages.

A 90mm tori gate.jpg

The above Tori gate is also a Pegaso 54mm Accessory and had to be legnthened approx 2 1/2 inches top become a 90mm accessory. All the sections were pegged with brass rod drilled into the column.

B set a 01.jpg

The next step was placement of the figures in relation to the Tori Gate. You can see the Gate in the background at the original height for 54mm before I cut it to add a section.

C Base ground 1.jpg

My next step was to mix and pour the Sculpt a Mold and pour around and over the kit bases and then add sand for ground texture.

C Base ground 2.jpg

I next choose 3 different acrylic colors in earth tones and painted the plaster mix. I left a small patch open for installation of the Tori gate once the gate was finished.

D Supplies 1.jpg

The next step was pulling out of the closet and supply cabinet all my groundwork supplies I thought I would need.

E In progress 09.jpg

Above you see the groundwork in progress with placing grasses of different height and texture and adding a deadfall limb to fill in the front space of the base.

Tori Gate test fit 1.jpg

Above you see a test fitting on the brass rod of the Tori Gate in the rear of the scene.
