That’s life as they safe ...a buggers muddle ...it will be a Spanish version ...waiting for putty to go fully off to proceed

Good choice since as far as I know he never went to Austria.

I'll post some piccies of the Faversham show when I've recovered from the driving, I believe Malc has some too.

Cheers Simon

Oh, OK then glad I'm of some use, though it will have to be tea. Just the smell of coffee makes me nauseous.

Cheers Simon

Hi folks

Yes it’s me that good looking fellow but currently sobbing profusely.......finished the rework , then painted it ...looked blooming aweful to say the least ...probably because it was too prominent

1 box of tissues later .....removed everything and going to try something different ...stay tuned

Too much has gone into this fine sculpt to hide it in a back cupboard

Off for a large drink .....of tea

C’est la Vie as Emerson Lake and Palmer sang

Ouch, not good but then you have a knack for pulling through these disasters with flying colours or more appropriately shiny medals!

Cheers Simon

Ouch indeed .....need to finish this as MELCHY is getting restless

I like your work !

Appreciate your comment thank you

Oh that is a shame, but as Simon says I'm sure you will turn it around with fantastic results as normal.
Melanie

I would never have been happy with it ! ....hopefully turning it round today

Thanks for looking in everyone

Oh dear, clearly the effort wasn't worth it....:(

I am sure you will recover it. In the meanwhile, Melchy is indeed calling!

....I have used another box of tissues to wipe away my tears ( please send all donations to ........) ...

So ...I have removed all traces of the putty right back to the original surface ...sanded it right back to a clean surface ......

Now resculpting to take the design back to the original that DG did.....

Yes I know ...full circle .....going well atm

This was the putty work before the above was done F979A311-7238-4770-A50A-1A243BF22438.jpeg

Using these refs for the final version as on the sculpt originally!

PS If anyone knows what refs DG used ....feel free !

A lot of work and a forest worth of tissues, that's what you get for messing with the work of a master, still at least you now know it's right!
