Another of my recent bust purchases from Matt at El Greco is the Seaforth Highlander from 1908 in India produced by La Meridiana Miniatures.

P1140348 (2).JPG

I started as usual with the face using Artist's oils and acrylics for the eyes.

P1140356.JPG

Tunic, belts and backpack colours blocked in with acrylics

That's it so far hope to catch up with him tomorrow.

Cheers

Hi Geoff

Another good choice for your bench ....like the base colours and as always the flesh looking good

Plenty of webbing for texturing and the leather bandolier as well

Look forward to seeing more

Happy benchtime

I've not seen this bust before, looks interesting. You are off to a good start with your usual great flesh painting.

I have progressed a bit more, ammo belt painted in oils, uniform pin-washed in dilute oils, buttons and shoulder tabs painted, tropical helmet pin-washed and highlighted, tartan painted, and sun shade painted and given a thinned earth wash.

And with sun shade fitted,

Backpack and rifle still to finish.

Cheers
Geoff

Stay safe everyone.

Hi Geoff

"A bit more " .......looking really good , for such a simple bust it's got style with the sunshade adds a lot to it

Do like the uniform colour you've achieved

Thanks for sharing

Happy benchtime

Stay safe both of you

Many thanks mate, I think the sunshade certainly makes a change and a nice addition.

The uniform colour I used was Vallejo ModelAir 027 Light Brown.

Trust you and Carole are well.

Cheers

Hi Geoff

Agree it a nice addition nice quilting on it as well

The webbing looks great but might have been good without the pack to show the spine pad that was worn at times

Either way it's looking good

We are both okay , everyone here are helping each other in any way possible

Stay safe

Happy benchtime

Thanks Nap, he has been finished for a few days but hadn't taken any pics until today.

We are both fine but haven't left our personal estate for some days, lovely neighbours getting us any food, etc we need. We have been out in the garden taking the lovely weather with our coffee and homemade cake, Lemon Drizzle.

Trust you both are fine and staying safe.

Cheers
Geoff
