Looking good... enjoy lunch, it's well earned (but less of the skiving off with the gogglebox)

Could you mix a filler (talc?) in with varnish or similar to give a raised effect for the braid around his tricorn?

That's a good idea Neil, I will give it a try on a piece of plasticard, after all I use filler with CA glue for filling small gaps and air holes. The gold I have done already is just the outline, I was going to improve it.

Cheers
Geoff

I had a go using filler and acrylic varnish to produce the lace, which Neil suggested, around the tricorne.

Very pleased with the result, will let it dry now before applying the base colour.

Looks really good... glad my suggestion worked out for you :)

BoL with your fur/feather hunting (I've heard about these sort of 'special interests' ;) )

Neil

Thanks Neil, I have found a lovely soft to the touch ostrich feather in our local cloth shop so that will certainly do the "trick";)

Great job so far Geoff and looking forward to seeing what you do with this ostrich feather. This looks a super bust from Fan art, very characterful.
