Hi Jamie,

Thanks for your comments and your continued support and encouragement mate. And thanks for not thinking I'm crazy, just a masochist. No more tartan for me for a loooooooong time.

G'day Carl, thanks so much for your kind comments on my figure, but please no references to the cricket. You Poms are lucky to still be in the series. Just remember that England haven't beaten Australia at Lords since 1934, and the last time we played for the Ashes in 2006, Australia won 5-0.

G'day Andy,

Thanks for your comments mate. You're right, tartan isn't easy to paint, but it is a great challenge for any painter. 54mm is too small for my eyes. God bless the man who invented magnifier glasses.

Tony, This turned out great! I've been watching the threads with the comments on tartan colors etc., and now that its all finished, a job well done. The colors of the tartan all pulled together with the oil washes, the face and socks are spot on. Definately a figure to be proud of mate!

Tony,

Absoluting fantastic, I love the tartan and the fleshtones.

Regards from Portugal
Pedro

Nice work on this one Tony i think it looks great, havent tried tartan myself but i would imagine it would leave me with less hair than i have now.

nice job mate

Steve

G'day Steve,

C'mon mate have a go at painting tartan, even if its just to take you out of your comfort zone. If I can sculpt busts, you can paint tartan. Thanks for your comments.

Excellent work on the figure Tony!
And a great job done on the stockings and tartan.
Have to try it myself one day.

Cheers,
Marcel.
