Here is a small figure I have been working on in the background for quite a while now.

He is Historex apart from the head and hands which come from Nemrod and Figure in Itally. Painted in acrylics apart from the horse which is done in oils.

He represents an Adjudants Commandants, a senior permanent staff officer on the staff of Generals and Marshalls, he apparently ranks as a Colonel.

Images are thumbnails, you know what to do.

And yes Kev before you ask I'll bring him along on Sunday as long as the ferries are still sailing as apparently there is another storm brewing.

Cheers Simon

Lovely job, I'm really enjoying seeing you work on these Historex figures. I like the pose you created here. That horse looks good, I hope you are happy with him.....

Changing the hands makes quite a big difference IMO, it's a small job but really helps lift a figure.

Looking forward to seeing it on Sunday.....;)

Love it Simon, another winner.
My two penn'orth- I feel that the hands are too central to the cuffs- the weight of the sleeve would make the hand nearer the top of the cuff.
Other than that, wonderful, and I love the base too.
hope you get back safe....

Many thanks Kev, I rather enjoyed this one. The reason I did in the background is that although I can work on several projects at once, blogging them all gets very confusing, well for me at any rate. So I'll keep popping the odd one out every now and then.

Cheers Simon

Cheers Nigel, looking forward to finally meeting you. Really enjoying the Historex figures, I can't for the life of me understand why I stopped all those many years before!

Thank you Neil, you are quite correct about the sleeves, I learnt a valuable lesson with these, the supplied cuffs are really big. As I couldn't hope to replicate the detail of the lace i used them, next time I will not use both sides as it makes the cuff look like bell bottom trousers!
