Hi Brian,
Just checking in, now that's a stormtrooper mate. Top draw work and not an ounce too much weathering, absolutely nailed so far.(y)(y)(y)
cheers
Richie
Thanks very much Richie, glad you like it so far mate !,how's your Zulu diorama coming along ?

Hi Brian,

As with the others who have commented on this thread, I'm blown away by the quality of your painting . If I can make one suggestion it would be to weather the hands of face with dirt and sweat streaks to match the general level of mud and dirt on the uniforms and sell the squalor of the trenches.

Great work mate, keep up the good work.
Many thanks atony for looking in mate and your comments,at the minute the hands have only been base coated, once the oils have been applied I will be adding the dirt to them

Good time for me to pitch in again Brian ......no surprises here......I knew the project would be good but taken as a stand alone the work on the Stormtrooper is absolutely outstanding.
I really think that this will be something very special when the elements all come together.
An absolute pleasure to watch the progress (y)
Cheers
Derek
Many thanks as always Del for your continued support and kind comments,it's starting to move along nicely now, hope to finish the Stormtroopers by weekend,I too am beginning to wonder how it will look in the final scene

I have now completed the trench shovel + Gas mask container, these were initialy painted with GW acrylic colours and finished in oils, the dirt / mud was applied in small quantities using Raw sienna and small amounts of burnt umber.

The rifle which is the Karabiner 98a was also finished by using the wood mixture and technique for painting the signs, slings were cut from lead foil and attached to the rifle and dry fitted to the bust to get the correct lengths before final assembly.

The lamps are 90% finished with just some small touch ups here and there, all that's left now on the stormtrooper is the hands and grenade which I plan to complete in the next few days.
