Very nice body of work. Thanks for bringing them out.I knew from your posts that you were pretty well versed in history but I was surprised at the Santa Claus as I felt you were more the type to receive coal in your stocking come Christmas time.

Well..... Finally someone here proves to be the perfect judge of character.
That made me laugh so much I had to confess to reading "emails at work" I am now in doo-doos and don't care.
Well, what a selection of fine looking specimens, each is painted to a high standard. I love the 5th DG. I have a long way to go.
Regards Bob
Bob those are humbling words, thank you,
but you are unfair unfair on yourself.
Love your work, love your wibble !
That's a nice selection.
The halberdier and the groundwork are particularly impressive.
I also like your re-paint of the del Prado DG. When viewed side by side with a Google image of the original, the transformation is superb. Cheers, Andrew
Thanks a lot Andrew Glad you like them, the groundwork is cork for rocks and structure, simply painted black, then successive dry brushes of Iraqui sand by vallejo.
The waterfall is sheet acetate from a package front glued top and bottom with supergllue. Vallejo clear gel for splashes and lumpyness, then tiny touches of blue/green added to vallejo high gloss varnish for the overall washes and the same with thinned down pale grey and varnish for the white water effects.
The veggies are woodland scenics long grass with real moss, and chopped up flowering grass clumps.
I kept the flowering colours to just the major wild colours of alpine plants and planted them in tiny clumps.
The del prado re-paint has airfix multipose head, duro bicorne, pigtail, ribbon and scaled wing epaulettes. Sword, scabbard, and sabretache are from an airfix lifeguard, historex buckles and lettering the valisse.
If I was making the same again I would paint the lettering, I think now it ls too clunky.
