Hello Family! Hope you are good and healthy!!! I have start a new project which I want to sheare with you.
My idea was to create a scene from 1800 ac. My journey is in Souli
Souli is a historical and geographical region of central Epirus (Greece), consisting of a group of villages, also known as Souliotochoria.
The people of Souli was an Orthodox Christian Greco Albanian community in the area of Souli in Epirus from the 16th century to the beginning of the 19th century, who via their participation in the Greek War of Independence came to identify with the Greek nation.
Souliotes was great warriors!!!
The figure I will use is from Babis Stathis BS Miniatures
I will convert the head to looks like more with Soulioti
Souliotes use to shave their heads and leave a mohawk style in the back of the head.
The pose of the figure is resting his body, I will sculpt a fire gun from this period a Kariofili to have it on his hand.
The base will be a part from a Souliot house of this period and sculpt it in 3d and print it
The news last night was bad we lost Cartacci but I believe he still watching us from up there!
So stay strong and put your bests! I believe is what he wants.

Thank you my good friend!!happy to be here after a break back to the passion of figure painting!!

Crickey that was quick! Looking good though, the fleece is nice and the metal work. There is always something elegant about Greek national costume.

Cheers Simon
