Hello,
This one is the last bust I have painted, it's the Spartan Hoplite from El Greco Miniatures.
All is painted in oils and printers inks. Let me know what you think.
All the best, Eddy.

Nice to see one of these beauties finished. I like alot what you ve done with it. I whould give it a good matt coat to get rid of the shine of the cloth. Great job overall.

Thanks for the nice comments, Dimitrios! Just finished it, and perhaps the red is not completely dry yet, but there is not so much shine on the cloth in real as the camera has give away. Will wait a few days to see what happens.
All the best, Eddy

Very nice work. I just got mine in the mail yesterday & will be using yours as the benchmark. Congratulations on a wonderful paint job.

HI Eddy,

I love your painting style and especially the 2 busts you have produced for Matt & Celine at El Greco. Very dramatic facial tones which are very distinctive and have become your trademark.
As an oil painter I would be interested in your face mix if you are happy to share, best regards
Keith

Thank you very much for the nice comments, Keith!
I have no problem sharing my oil mix, my friend!
I use mat sand 63 humbrol for undercoat
For the moment I use a mixture of
English red and brown madder alizarine for base 70 - 30%
Highlighting for the first time with a little yellow ocre.
Than I light it more and more up with Napels yellow and white.
The cheeks I use a little red and burned sienna.
For heavy shadows I use a little brown madder alizarine on a subtile way.
All Windsor and Newton, and all wet on wet.
All the best,
Eddy
