Re: new buste 1/9

Hendryk,
danke.

Steve,
I planned a 200 mm buste but I scaled position eyes wrong and the head turned into 1/6 or so. Still, for likeness a good scale and always good to have a master around when starting a smaller scale.
there are some particular things that will enhance the Steiner look. Haircut and some work on chin-cheeksection.

thanks, René

Re: new buste 1/9

I don't know who Steiner is but it is a very good likeness to the actor James Coburn. Would love to see you sculpt the other members of the Magnificent Seven. (y)

Re: new buste 1/9

Hi John,

"Oberfeldwebel Steiner" (Bruce Coburn) plays the leading role in a Movie from 1977 under the direction of Sam Packinpah.

Title: "Steiner - Das eiserne Kreuz" (Steiner-The Iron Cross).

The film plays in 1943 at the eastern front in the Soviet Union and is based on a novel with the title "Das geduldige Fleisch" ("The patient meat") of the German author Willi Heinrich.

There was in 1979 produced a "second part" which plays 1944 at the western front in France (Direction Andrew V. McLaglen). In this Movie Richard Burton plays "Steiner".

Cheers

Re: new buste 1/9

:notworthy: thanks, Antonio and Darko.

I'll give you something that makes you think....

how come three guys, ofcourse very happy about where they're living suddenly seperately make the sharp decision to subscribe to PF at aproximately the same time?
Lot of retorics ofcourse but it gives me lot of joy to phantasize about this naughty triangle.
Don't know if we whispered something like 'see you on pf' when the three of us were gently fried on a staple for being witches or causily worked on the sixteenth chapel fact is I appreciate your comments a lot!

thanks for hangin' on :)

for the pics I'm about to show I feel they need to be accompagnied by this:
