An important day gentlemen.

Those of you who are fortunate to share, or have shared your younger life with children, will know the joy of eager anticipation of this Sunday.

The one day of the year set aside for your family to share their busy lives with you for a few precious hours, when they will be minded to offer you respect, and remember the efforts, care, love and guardianship you brought to their life every day striving to provide them with a safe and secure future.

It is my most earnest hope that your day be filled with joy
and love as you read your cards.

Do enjoy your new pair of socks they bought at the supermarket at the last minute on the way to drop by
'cos they 'have to'.

Im locking the doors, taking the phones off the hook etc turning the router off and putting in ear plugs. With a bit of luck they will get the message and bugger off and leave me in peace.

My daughter and youngest son will visit, the oldest boy will phone from NZ.
By the time they leave I'll be up a book, maybe a bar of chocolate and a promise of gifts to come ...... and down about £500.......
The daft thing I'll end up feeling great

I dont believe in it your kids should show love and kindness 365 days a year to you not one sunday a year, Just a straight forward Thanks dad when you have done a little job, or buying a beer first when popping in the pub now and again is perfect.
