Terrific work, Marcus!

If I may add a geo-historic anecdote: the place of the battleground is now called "Anemones' hill" ("giv'at ha'kalaniot" in Hebrew) and is the final resting place of our late prime minister and former famous IDF general of the Yom-Kippur war (1973), Ariel Sharon. He is buried next to his wife, Lily. Just across from the road passing there, is the Sharon family ranch, "Havat Shikmim" (sycamore ranch).

A website in Hebrew (try google translate on it) - http://www.ww1-israel.org/

The color photos are of the site as it is today. The B&W, according to an Israeli website, are of 1. German aircraft in a field nearby 2. captured turkish artillery from the battle of Huj

Thank you for the kind words and insight into the battlefield today and link to the website, I don’t speak Hebrew so will try and find a converter to navigate, the images on the site look fantastic and gives me greater understanding historically.

Appreciated, and thank you again.

Thanks mate, the next project will be finishing off all the painting for the Chunuk Bair figure diorama. So many ideas, so little time. :)

Amazing dynamic scene, really great diorama. I really like the war map around the perimeter of the entire base-ground. Great idea. Great job really, very well done :)

Cheers Borek

Thank you Borek, the idea of incorporating the battle map was a late addition but glad I incorporated as gives a dead area of the model some interest and adds to the story.
