Ordered mine Direct from Pegaso and when their lockdown ended it arrived in a week. Absolutely fantastic casting with bags full of parts. A real work of art and a painters dream.

This has been for sale on Pegaso’s website for like a month. I can’t understand why some companies can’t take the few minutes it takes to post a new release here on PF. I’m sure a lot of you are like me and tend to buy what we see here.

The idea is excellent - but there are many faults with this - the Roman still has his gladius in the scabbard (if I'm being attacked I think i'd be reaching for my sword to fight back with all of my strength) - secondly and following on from that the standard bearer isn't struggling the German has no knife to his throat or his side - he is a trained and disciplined Roman soldier who is not going to surrender lightly - the scene is just not real - looks more like they are dance partners.

As I said I like the concept and few changes it would be an epic scene - so buy it and do some work on it - perfect.

There is the possibility the Roman could've been taken by surprise, thus the gladius still in the scabbard. Just a thought.
It's a very dramatic piece and I like regardless of any faults. This is going to be a very popular piece and I think we'll see many gracing the tables at the shows.

I was very surprised too, which is why I checked with Nap first before posting in case I'd missed it.
I'm very pleased El Greco brought this piece to my attention.

Yes, I agree with you - I don't dislike it all - having visited the Teutoberg Forest and the site of the ambush - it appeals even more - But.....

The Roman has both hands free as he is trying to remove the arm around his throat.... OK enough is a enough.

True but it is a miniature and would not be complete without the Aquila in the other hand.

Mine arrived today, great service from El Greco.
All I can say is Wow.
