You've a natural skill in seeing what's possible to do in conversion

You've probably seen them but Osprey do some really good books in the series

Thanks Scotty, working on the figure and standard. This is the latest. Removed the link armour as replacing with chain mail and created a design for the Standard based on others I’ve seen. Also scratch built a round shield for the Signifier.

Just one thing, and you may not care too much about it. I believe the hand in the standard would only be a right hand. I did one of these in 1/9 and used a left hand as well, then started noticing that I couldn't find one pic of a left handed one. Figured it had to do with the evil connotations associated with let handedness in the past. My OCD got the better of me and I had to change it.

Hi Jason, Gggrrrr I noticed this as well hoping others hadn’t. Thing is I didn't have a spare right hand. I might see if I can find one now. Agree it might have something to do with left hand being used in some cultures to wipe ya bum, so if presented in a gesture of friendship is seen as an insult, something like that anyway.

Thank you Pete, very kind of you. Really enjoying this build, keeping the enthusiasm going by treating each piece as a model build in its own right. It will eventually all come together and doing the early composition gives me the knowledge and freedom to focus and detail each element, but even these things change slightly as I learn more and have different ideas.

Changed the hand on the Standard, glad I’ve altered it now than being a last minute oh c*ap moment.

Also started to add some putty to the rest of the figure now, including the bandaged head I wanted to depict.

Made some more progress on the Signifier tonight.

Working on the lower tunic and chain Mail vest of the Signifier, this is not finished as need to add belt and some other details before reattaching the arms and completing the upper body.
