I guess the Frenchies captured more redcoats.
Today arrived the 5 brits i've ordered from Trident.
I compared to the Brits from Front ranks and there is not much difference in size, so i will use all of them.

I made a little surgery on one of the fusiliers, added a grrnadier head from the french which i will slightly modify later to resemble the British Bear fur cap shape.
The good thing about trident figures is that they all come with separate musket, unlike the French figures, the Brits comes with fixed heads.
I primed them and washed with vallejo red wash.
Painted the base color of the pants and vest using mainly vallejo neutral grey and a dab of german grey.

Hello folks,
Here's a pic of the first casualty of this big diorama.
I must say i am really happy with the result and sad at the same time since this figure is one of the nicest Brits i bought, but is a great and perfect pose for a casualty.
next i will have 3 French casualties and work on the captured welsh troopers.
cheers

Superb stuff. I'm probably wrong but at the period depicted weren't the "Royal Welsh" actually called the "Royal Welch" ?

Cheers

Hello Huw, you are actually right, they were calle welch but also "Welsh" was used, it's funny you mention that, i was just reading that 2 days ago looking for more information on the uniform details.
best regards

What a great project.Great work requires a large amount of time and I think all the work will be well worth it.I am torn at wanting to see the finished results and following all the details your putting into it.
