Dave - Great looking figure! There's some choice sculpting on that one, lovely folds and interesting details on the clothing.

I agree with your reasoning about the pale skin - that makes sense. One suggestion on the lighting. I try to take most of my photos out of doors in my backyard. Most of the time it solves the reflectance and glare problem, but not always. I try to get the photos taken between 9:00 to 11:00 am or 1:00 to 3:00 pm, avoiding the strongest and most direct sunlight.

Dan. along with the small flat goes only a communal yard. I do sometimes get to take some pic outdoors, with all the neighbours watching and wondering what I'm up to, but football seems to be it's main use and that ain't healthy for my models!

As Quang and the others say, maybe the photography is letting you down. It certainly has with me in the past. Try experimenting a bit and see where it gets you. Have fun as well...
