Completed Critique 'The Dance' - Tartar Miniatures 54mm

Hi All,

Here's my latest called 'The Dance' from Tartar Miniatures in 54mm. It's a beautifully sculpted little set and was a pleasure to paint.

I opted to hand paint a patterned rug that both figures would fit on, rather than use the kit's tiger skin rug provided for the dancer. I also added the sleeping dog. It's painted in acrylics, with oils used for the flesh tones, wood and rug details.

I just noticed the soldiers right foot is slightly off the ground too, so I'll need to fix that . Hope you like it though, please feel free to comment or give me advice.

A beautifully painted vignette.
The freehand work on the rug is stunning, and the addition of the sleeping dog really finishes it off.

Beautiful vignette, Nick, very well painted, all the elements of the scene are perfectly finished. About the right foot of the soldier, it is a shame, I don´t know how to fix that, anyway, as Mike said, I think he´s carrying the rhythm of the music with it.
