Howdy,

I have been lurking this board for many months and have seen some truly amazing work. I joined today and thought I would share some of mine.

These pieces were all sculpted and painted by me as part of an ongoing series called THE DEAD REICH. Nazi zombies, as is evident.

The latest is Panzerkommandant Jürgen-

And he can be seen here with his friends-

Thanks for looking.

First of all, welcome aboard, good sir! It's a pleasure and an honour to have you with us.

As to the Dead Reich. . . KEEP 'EM COMIN'! Got the first two; now just waiting for the official release of Panzerkommandant Jürgen.

And for those that might be interested, check them out here.

Thanks for the kind words and for linking to the site, Augie. Love to see what you do with your DR busts.

Welcome to the planet my friend,I must say your sculpting skills are exceptional,I too like the idea of nazi zombies,a great concept and thanks for posting, look forward to seeing more of your stuff in the future :)

This is a paint variation I did of the first DEAD REICH bust, Herr Burkhart. While researching reference materials for uniforms and helmet designs I found an image of a group of soldiers from the Netherlands, I think. Perhaps Norway, I can't recall right now but I am certain some of you military experts here would know. They had this wonderfully creepy skull design on their helmets so I replicated it for fun. I also went with a green skin as you can see, and kept the unifrom all in shades of grey.

As the series evolves I am working hard to refine the designs of the uniforms and gear. You can see here the front rim is too shallow and the helmet shape a bit too square. If you look at the pic above of the three busts, the one with the gas mask (Oberschütze Senfgas) has a better shape to his helmet. But, these are fictional characters so I will also use artistic license when I feel the urge.

Thanks much for the enthusiastic and kind welcome to the board.

fantastic work . im familiar with your work from the Buc Wheat site have you ever thought of doing a non dead German from ww2 as your detail is amazing. keep up the great work

The panzer-zombie might go with all the ratpanzers that are quite popular thesedays. Its my favourite.

Would be nice to have some nazi-zombies, full figure (or how complete they can be) in 1/35 for cool dioramas?

Cheers

Greetings!

That was your rendition???!!! AWESOME!!!

As a point of reference, the skull motif as depicted was used by light infantry detachments of the Finnish Army during WWII, in this instance Kevyt Osasto 14 (or 4?) of the 4th Infantry Division. Sorry for the waffling, but my Finnish is non-existent. . .

All the best,

Augie

Yes, Finland. All I knew for sure is that they weren't German. All the paint work is mine, Augie. Glad you like them.

Janne- I am working now on the first full figure design prep, but it won't be small. Either 1/6 or 1/5 scale.
