This is the last of the Americans by Series 77 that I am going to paint. There are 51 in the collection that I collected and painted over the years. Two were painted by Bob Knee. I purchased on line and it came all painted. I did improve a little over the years.

I remember that one from the cover of one of the Verlinden books, part 5 I think. Still very eye catching figures, even now. Very nice collection indeed!

I still have some of the originals in kit form!

As well as a number of the assembled, figures. My painted (be me) collection includes the 154mm, Pirate, Carabineee and Landsknecht.

These are mainly 90mm. I imported the last ones from the US. I met him also at a Euromilitaire.

More later! Everything must go before I do.

What are you looking for, anyone? Heavy metal!

I have the original cataloges.

The one onthe link is 2009 version and is incoplet as well as a mixture of scales. Produced in US by the chap who aquired the masters? Pirate bust was based on the original Big Figure. I sold a painted one at Kulmbach 1983! Heavy metal.

Thanks everyone for your comments! The two by Bob Knee are the Samoan Navy person, and the "Jaybird" with the black top hat on the bottom row,5th from rt. I think my favorite is the Cavalry Trooper feeding an apple to the horse!

Great collection. I have a handful (painted by me and unpainted) of these as American subjects are my favorite. I pick them up as I find them.

Great collection. Did paint seven of them with the 154mm Pirate still unbuilt. Agree with your favorite (I used the semi bald head on mine). Thanks for showing them.

It's always a good day for me when I see Series 77 on the pages of PF not only is this a wonderful collection but it generates some excellent comments from members and we get that walk down memory lane, I had the Series 77 bug at one point of my figure painting journey and sadly I only ever completed a few leaving me with several in the grey army including the one at the top of the thread, I also went on a quest for 154mm Franz Doring a few years back and the quest continues, so thanks for posting I am sure we have all dream't of having a cabinet like that with all the completed figures lined up side by side, it's just brilliant.

Thank you everybody for the kind remarks. I finished taking pictures of each one last night. I was able to see improvements over the years. Thanks to advice from here on PF. The eyes looked like "Snowman eyes"! LOL!

Things have really changed since we started looking at this stuff so much Nick. I still remember when I ran into you at an IPMS show in Minneapolis. Turned into a nice friendship thats lasted a lot of years. Glad I said hello that day.

Nick, I love your collection! (y)

As many of you know, I love Series 77. I've still got another 20-30 sitting in my gray army waiting to be painted. :)

Cheers,
Ken
