Ok, this is just a tes image. After Gordy's help (thanks for the help) I resized one of the pics. If it works, I'll delete the pic then re post on the original post

Thanks, Jim

Ok, back to the drawing board. Gordy, a PM is coming your way!

Nevermind the PM Gordy. I set the width of the pixels to 615. This seemed to work fine. By the way, I didn't auto resize the pics. Hopefully this will work now. How about a short how to article for posting pics and the recomened width (Pixels) for us uninformed. Or, please tell me I'm not the only person in here who is just learning this and doesn't understand it. :(

Bob Letterman! I'm fortunate to call this man one of my best friends. Not only is he this but one of the best and honrable people I have ever had the pleasure to run across. Than you VERY much Bob!

Your friend, Jim Patrick

Hey Jim!!

wow!!! Fantastic work buddy! It really turned out great! One to be proud of for sure.

As for you asking what kind of placing it would make in a show, there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking that. People always say they attend shows to meet people etc, which IS a big part of it, but I know that all of us wants to win something or get recognition for your work, if not, there would be no golds, no silvers and no bronzes needed. It is a great way to judge where you are in your modeling development. As for judging your piece, I dont know that I am qualified to judge your work, but I think its is top notch and if I was to judge it, I would say atleast a Silver or a Gold in my book!

Whats the next project going to be?

Thanks Anders. I appreciate your comments, frankness and honesty. yes, I have to admit, you have described me. No, I'm not worried about awards and yes, they are nice to receive.
Next up appears to be a Trumpeter, Chassuers a Cheval de la Garde I started around december. This is the figure that burnt me out. He's got lace in his lace. All in 54mm! Well, now thay I'm refreshed, maybe I can finish him.

Thanks again, Jim Patrick

Jim-

Thanks for posting larger pics so that we can see the great work that you put into these figures.

I would like to echo Lou's comments on Indy's dad's hat. Great job and what can I say, the pattern work is innovative a right on! (y)

Yes, I am attending MasterCon this year. I have begun a couple of projects that I hope to have finished for the show.

Keep up the great work.

Yancy

Hey Jim, the more I see those pictures the more I love you're vignette, truly outstanding work.

How did you do the name plate?

Cheers

Roc. :)

Hi Jim!

Im jumping on the bandwagon here to say that youve painted one fine piece of vignette. I really like Jones Seniors hat with the pattern as well as his spectacles. Could you please tell me an the other figureteers how you did those?

Cheers.

Janne, sorry it took me a while to respond. Iv'e been out in the field playing Army  . As far as the hat goes, it was base coated with Andrea Confederate Grey (#59). Then I added Vallejo Iraqi Sand (#819) for the highlights then finally, a little Dark Sand (#847) for the high, highlights. It's been awhile since I painted this so forgive me here but I believe I added Black Grey (#862) for shadows. For the checker pattern, I added more Dark Sand and drew the pattern on. For the reference, I used pictures from the movie itself (all downloaded from the internet) and Figure International #6. This has some really good shots of the kit.

Hope this helps,
Jim Patrick
