He looks really fine Mate.
If you paint the rest of his armour the way dealt with the superb helmet, you have got yourself a great piece Steve
Cheers,
Keith

Cheers Nap as for the armour I may reverse the colours so it's red over gold haven't decided yet

Hello Steve,
A start is always difficult but the completion of the model shows the artistry.
As Billy(turnip) said above and many others, when you see a box art or another master's work this is not
at all a discouraging thing but the opposite, to see learn and try to make these according to your potentials,
the main thing is to enjoy the hobby and be satisfy with your achievement.
Personally i admire the work of many master painters here because i can see that their talent and creativity
are endless.
Your start is a good start and waiting for your next progress post!!

Hi Steve, it is a very good start. Glad to see that this bust has become and is being painted by many people sharing the same interest in this hobby. It is always a pleasure for all of us to have chance to see different variations in painting style and color palette choice. Well enjoy the hobby and I look forward to seeing more progress on this from you.

Way to go Steve (y).....there are more of us than you know that would love Brian's skill with a brush.....but look at it this way mate.....if we did....what would we have to discuss/criticise/compliment/take the p**s out of....
You just keep on doing what you do best......trying/improving/enjoying.....it takes a strong man to laugh at himself mate...counts for a lot in my book ;)

Hi Steve,
An intimidating project to paint after what has previously been seen, but you certainly don't look intimidated and are off to a great start. If we all could paint like Brian, then some major industries would not exist, crayons and painting by numbers come to mind.
cheers
Richie

Looks excellent work Mick nice one, yup Richie and without people like thee and me David Bailey would be out of work too :ROFLMAO:
