It is going to take a while but what a beautiful and original addition to your collection will it be.Lovely so far,I really want to see it finished.

Oda.

Many thanks for the kind comments Oda.
My original intro to this post was that it was going to be a 'back-burner' project, mainly because of the envisaged difficulties.
Now that most of them have been overcome, I can see myself getting more stuck into this one.

Cheers,
Andrew

Edit.... The moulds have produced reasonable castings that fit quite well - a little better than arj is experiencing - but not up to the standards customers expect today. ......Edit

The problems that I've been experiencing are more likely due to this model having been completed, and then broken back to its constituent parts, before reaching me. There are also many parts that have to come together correctly, necessitating either multiple pairs of hands, or construction of sub-units, and getting these to fit.
It just boils down to careful model construction; a capability that we all possess.

Cheers,
Andrew

Endeavour to persevere, Andrew.....great stuff(y) Like the Dickensian-sounding "fixity" and "bumpeg"; could be characters in a story! 'Bumpeg & Fixity, cabinet makers to the gentry, furniture repairs a speciality'. Digressing.....a sure sign of getting old.......
